Smok NFix 25w pod Review
There aren’t a lot of niches left in the vape world, especially when it comes to hardware. Beyond creating a whole new way of doing something, you’re no doubt going to be using a variant of something that is already out there.
When it comes to PODs, they’re likely focused on Mouth lung vaping; well, the smaller ones are anyway. The larger POD systems, like the Aegis Boost, Voopoo Vinci, and Drag S/X, cater to the lower resistance, higher power crowd.
But what if you like to do lung inhales but still want something small and portable? The Nord and Nord 2 might work for you, even the Novo and the RPM lite. Even these can get a bit bulky to slip into your pocket. So, Smok has come up with something even smaller!
Introducing the Smok Nfix Pod system!
SMOK NFIX 25W Airflow
You’d expect something like this to have a fairly tight MTL draw to it, or at least an ultra-responsive auto-draw, similar to the Caliburn and other stick devices, but I’m finding it just outside of the MTL range. The airflow feels more like a restricted DTL draw, requiring a little more lung power to get the auto-draw to fire. Nfix isn’t an issue because the Nfix can fire up to 25 Watts; it was just a surprise, is all.
As it turns out, it was a great surprise, as I’ve been comfortably doing restricted DTL inhales without any issues; it is quite good at this, I think, and instead of using salts, my freebase nicotine at 6mg instead of my usual 3mg has been doing the trick well.
SMOK NFIX 25W Battery
You’ll find a 700mah internal battery in the Nfix. Not the largest battery in one of these devices, but also not the smallest. You’ll get a few hours out of it if this is your only device, and you’ll need to recharge often, but if you’re only using it occasionally, this will last you quite a while.
The device is probably the only real gripe I have with the Nfix; a larger battery was necessary, considering that this can go up to 25Watts.
From empty to full, charging via the USB Type-C connection takes approximately an hour. Smok conveniently also gives you an estimated time until you are fully charged on the provided OLED screen whilst charging.
