The Vaporesso XROS 2 pod performs just as well, if not slightly better, than the original XROS and the XROS MINI. The upgraded battery is the most significant difference, as it has a much longer battery life than either of those two vapes. Vaporesso first released the 1.2-ohm pod with the MINI. The single-wire build design delivers solid flavor, and with the airflow closed off, the Vaporesso XROS 2 has a tight MTL draw. The best option is to leave the airflow half-closed and at 11W since it creates a warm vapor.
The 0.8-ohm pod is for more of a loose MTL draw. Firing at 16W, it gives a more intense and hotter vapor than the 1.2-ohm pod. These benefits come at the cost of using a bit more battery power, so expect the device to last shorter periods with this coil. The pod’s performance is much better than what you’d expect from most pods, lasting up to twenty tanks of juice without noticeable losses in flavor or vapor quality when you’re vaping.

Vaporesso Xros 2 Pod System – Pod Cartridg
Included in the kit are two pods which both house a non-removable coil. They both hold 2ml of e-liquid and have a removable mouthpiece that exposes your small filling port once removed. The two pods have very clear markings on the base to describe what coil is enclosed, along with nice magnets to clip the Pod into the device; another nice touch is the different colors of the internal seals to differentiate between the two pods. The Red Pod being the 0.8Ω Pod, and the Black one being the 1.2Ω Pod – nice touch.
The 0.8Ω XROS Mesh Pod
As an MTL vape, with the airflow open, the XROS 0.8Ω Pod delivers a loose draw with a nice cloud, and the flavor is good – not great. The added airflow restriction is noticeable, and the flavor does improve slightly, with the same amount of vapor being produced. Limiting the airflow to nothing (airflow slider pretty much shut), the XROS nails that tight MTL draws very well, and because of the mouthpiece shape, it is doing a very good job.
The 1.2Ω XROS Mesh Pod
I could break down all three experiences, just as I have with the 0.8Ω Pod; however, there isn’t any point as the 1.2Ω XROS Mesh Pod performs pretty much the same. Odd right? I would assume because of the smaller coil size, the restriction would be more so, even when the airflow slider is all the way open, but actually, it’s the same.
Vaporesso XROS Battery Life
Vaporesso XROS 2s have an internal 1,000 mAh battery, an upgrade from the original XROS that featured an 800 mAh battery. The device’s battery life is pretty great, lasting long enough to get through two pods worth of juice even if you’re chain vaping.
It takes around an hour to charge to full from a dead battery and uses a Type-C USB cable, which comes with the vape. Furthermore, the battery does have a pass-through charging capability, and you can use it while it is on the charger.
