What are mesh coils?
Mesh coils are coils made of a strip of metal with regular holes punched in it that makes it look like mesh. These coils have a larger surface area and therefore heat the e-liquid and wicking material more evenly than a standard coil made of wire.
The mesh is often made of Kanthal or Nichrome. The RPM 3 replacement coils by SMOK are made of Kanthal A1.
How long do mesh coils last?
Coils made of mesh have a longer lifespan than those made of wire. This is because they heat more evenly than a wire coil and therefore it is less likely that the mesh will burn out in one place. As a result, a pack of five coils made of mesh will last longer than a pack of wire coils.
